Diesel Exhaust Fluid
As part of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandate, all on-road diesel engines - 2010 or newer - are limited in exhaust emissions. All OEMs are incorporating Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to achieve the EPA mandates. In order for SCR to work, exhaust gas is mixed with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) prior to entering the SCR device, converting nitrous oxide (pollution) into harmless nitrogen gas and water vapor.
The United Oil Company offers certified DEF in multiple packaging configurations. The package size chosen depends on the number of trucks operating on DEF and the number of gallons of fuel burned by each vehicle. Packaging options include bulk, 330-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, and 2.5 gallon jugs, as well as a multitude of tank and pumping configurations. Bulk discount volumes available on request.
